Up for auction is a beautifully crafted wooden puzzle, the 12 Piece Box, designed and manufactured by the highly respected Japanese puzzle craftsman, Hidekuni Tamura. Tamura is well-known in the mechanical puzzle community for his exacting tolerances, elegant designs, and masterful woodworking.
The Puzzle:
As the name suggests, this is a complex interlocking box puzzle composed of 12 precisely cut wooden pieces. It offers a fantastic assembly and disassembly challenge, showcasing the tight, seamless fit that Japanese puzzle makers are famous for.
Condition:
Excellent, collector-quality condition. The wood is beautiful, smooth, and precisely milled with no chips or cracks. The puzzle comes with its original included paperwork detailing its creator. Owning a piece of Tamura's work is always a treat, but having a copy that sat on the puzzle shelves of Bill Darrah makes this an exceptional addition to any collection.
