This classic design was one of my earliest puzzle builds in the early 2000’s that I made for Bill Cutler.It features 18 pieces with four solutions, however finding one will definitely keep you busy for some time!I’ve always wanted to revisit it but in a smaller scale, I used a 3/16” unit size with the overall size being approximately 6” x 4”.The woods used were salvaged from an old upright piano from the 1920’s that I layed out the keys in a wall hanging (see last photo). It seems hard to believe that it's been almost 20 years since I first made a small run of this clever packing puzzle design in 2006. William has graciously allowed me to offer up another run as there were only a dozen copies made in 2006.The original metal version was William’s exchange puzzle at the IPP21 in Tokyo.This version is made using many wood varieties and includes a Stand.
