Kyoko Hoshino is a relative early Karakuri craftsman with a limited output of highly inventive puzzles, including especially boxes that combine wood and fabric. A Box in a Bag is a classic of hers of this type. A box sits in a bag that is closed on top. The goal? Open the box of course! This hard-to-find puzzle has rarely been available by auction.

Karakuri product description:

This work was designed as a Christmas present for 2010. This is a box in the bag. You can not take it out. This box is a Karakuri box, of course. Can you open it easily? The pattern on the bag reminds me of Christmas when the snow falls.

Material: shiuri cherry, birch, magnolia, cloth, ribbon, button
