Description

Bara-Bara Box: philosopher OS-24 by Osamu Kasho (Karakuri)

Unusual karakuri puzzle mechanism crafted in an array of complementing woods -- walnut, chanchin, oak, magnolia, rosewood and maple.  Kasho says "This is collaboration work with small doll “Kobito” creator Kobo Alp.  Five sections come apart to reveal 2 storage areas.  You have to remember the exact moves in order to put it back together.  It contains two questions; how to open and how to close.  I chose colorful woods and put a small doll, made by craftsman Kobo Alp. This beautiful doll is very small but made really precisely.  I added a few more steps from Bara-Bara Box with a snowman"

New in original box with all inserts.  Details here: OS-24

Mini Lock by Christoph Lohe / Pelikan
Mini Lock by Christoph Lohe / PelikanCrafted in Ash and Purpleheart by Pelikan.Christoph Lohe wrote about it: “The puzzle consists only of a frame with one obstacle, a shackle, and two sticks. With a level 6.7 it is not a difficult puzzle, but it can be operated like a tiny padlock, which is a nice touch. When I received Pelikan's sample, I was amazed what they made of the design. They have been able to build it in a tiny size, only about 25 grams. Nevertheless, the woodworking is fabulous, v...

Cage for Four by Stephane Chomine / Eric FullerOne of just 41 signed and dated puzzles made in 2012 by Eric's workshop, Cubic Dissection.  Crafted in Rosewood and Sycamore, Eric writes "This attractive piece of art is also a dang tricky puzzle.  Four sticks interact with a straightforward cage in vary non-straightforward ways. The unique level 24.6.3 solution means what it says - this puzzle's not joking around.  Figuring out which piece goes where is only the beginning, since some of them s...

Karin's Outline Burr (IPP21) by Karin von Känel / Jürg von Känel (JRK Wood Puzzles)Jürg wrote "The burr got its name from the fact that it is a six-piece burr constructed from 3x3x6 sized pieces of which only an outline of that piece form is used. These pieces assemble into a quite symmetrical form which has one 3-fold symmetry axis. If one only allows pieces which will not leave outside holes in the structure, then there are a total of 11 interesting pieces."Six pieces create a beautiful b...
