Description
Bara-Bara Philosopher is a very popular Karakuri Creation Group (KCG) puzzle box, designed and crafted by Osamu Kasho in 2021 (based on an earlier Christmas present from 2019, Bara-Bara Box with a Snowman).  It is UNIQUE among KCG boxes in that the five sections of the puzzle come apart to reveal the two storage areas.  Reassembling the box can prove more difficult than finding the storage areas!  So many moves packed in such a small and beautiful box!  The orange, brown and light colored sections of the box add to the beauty of the puzzle, as does the hand-crafted philosopher by Kobo Alp.  The box measures 6x6x6 cm, and the little philosopher is 3 cm tall.

Of course, the box is pristinely made. My copy is in mint condition and in its original box in its original plastic bag, complete with solution paper.  Examples of this popular puzzle sold very recently on Puzzle Paradise for $180 and $245, and so I hope that my starting price of $145 is attractive.

I can ship within the US as a ground advantage (first class) package for between $6.50 and $7.00 depending on postal code, or at insured priority mail pricing for between $9.25 and $13.45 if preferred.  I am happy to ship internationally at cost, but I cannot always guarantee that overseas packages can be insured or tracked.  Please do not send payment until postage cost is determined.

SAN DIEGO — IPP38 Exchange Puzzle (San Diego, CA, 2018) by Henry Strout
SAN DIEGO is an exemplary example from perennial IPP Puzzle Exchange participant Henry Strout's series of train car-themed packing puzzles.  Henry's craftsmanship improves with each passing IPP Exchange!  SAN DIEGO is very nicely crafted and beautifully laser-engraved.  The goal of the puzzle, of course, is to pack the eight interlocking pieces — in the shapes of the letters S-A-N-D-I-E-G-O — into the body of the train car and then to fit the roof of the train car (whi...

Tornado Burr by Juno
Tornado Burr was designed by Juno in 2007 and originally produced in a small batch by Mr. Puzzle (Brian Young) in 2008 and reproduced in a small batch by The late Eric Fuller in 2010.  Finally, this past year (2025), Juno's company (Pluredro) manufactured Tornado Burr.   It's three beautifully contrasting woods are Bubinga, PNG Rosewood, and Koto.  Tornado Burr currently lists for the US equivalent of $192 (AUD296).  I am offering my copy of Tornado Burr at a 30% ...

CABOOSE — IPP32 Exchange Puzzle (Washington DC, 2012) By Henry Strout
CABOOSE is the first in perennial IPP Puzzle Exchange participant Henry Strout's series of train car-themed packing puzzles.  Very nicely crafted, engraved, and finished by Henry in a variety of contrasting woods.  The goal of the puzzle, of course, is to pack the pieces into the body of the train car and then to fit the bottom of the train car (which has a fixed piece on it!) flat onto the bottom of the body.CABOOSE comes as received at IPP32.  The train car measures 7 inches (18 cm) long an...
