Description

I’m offering up this cool burr design by Alfons that is finely made by Cubicdissection.

Here’s Eric’s description:

“Another great one from Belgian burr builder Alfons Eyckmans, Barzoi is a very unique design. A twelve piece burr with interaction between the inner and outer components almost as if it behaves like a nested burr. Six outer pieces overlap six inner pieces with an offset on each axis to make this puzzle stand out when assembled.

The solution is only a moderate level 13.2.1.1.1.2. Don't let that fool you, this puzzle is difficult! With a few different multi-piece movements, disassembly alone is a great challenge. Fit was modified from the prototype copy to achieve smooth movements when multiple pieces interact, signed and dated.”

Comes in original packaging.

Tube It In - William Strijbos by John Devost
It seems hard to believe that it's been almost 20 years since I first made a small run of this clever packing puzzle design in 2006.  William has graciously allowed me to offer up another run as there were only a dozen copies made in 2006.The original metal version was William’s exchange puzzle at the IPP21 in Tokyo. This version is made using many wood varieties and includes a Stand.  The entire puzzle has been ‘triple buffed’ giving it a very nice sheen.Overall size is a little over 4...

Sphinks Cargo Car - Brian Young by Henry Strout
This cool packing puzzle was designed by Brian and is a continuation of Henry’s ‘Train themed’ puzzles.  It was Henry’s gift at the IPP34 Exchange at London, England. There are 6 pieces that need to be packed into the box car, that has one lone block permanently attached.Entire puzzle and pieces were triple buffed to a nice lustre. Please note:I modified the train box portion so it is now glued to the train car (with Olivewood edging) and features a removable lid (inset made from Padauk)...
