When I saw this design (along with "Core") I knew immediately I wanted to make it. I like packing puzzles, but the old "put the pieces in the box" can get old. Begonia definitely has a twist to it - the "box" has three axes! The most interesting part of the solution is figuring out how to deal with the corners where the plane switches. Tricky but not insanely difficult, and a lot of fun to solve.
The construction of this puzzle is robust. Internal pieces are beveled on all faces, as is the outside of the box. The box itself has angled splines made from the same rosewood as the pieces to keep the joints from moving or splitting down the road.
