Description
The Buffalo Nickel Puzzle is based on the Nine-and-a-half-Moves puzzle by Oskar van Deventer. It is composed of just three pieces that fit together and also a hides a secret compartment with the original prize included. Although the three pieces are flat and lie in a single plane, it takes a remarkable 9 1/2 moves to solve.
Originally made by George Miller for IPP 20, Los Angeles, It was then reproduced by Bits & Pieces and is, in my opinion, one of their best bone pieces.
For those not familiar with the puzzle, it is not coin sized but is a hefty 3.75 in / 8.9cm in diameter and weighs 14.6oz / 0.41 kg.
This copy is in like-new condition and includes the original box and description/solution sheet.
