Divide Cube Sp by Hidekuni Tamura, IPP24 2004

Here's another one I almost don't want to let go of...

This interesting design by Mr. Tamura is a difficult and unconventional cube design. Each of the four pieces is made from three panels festooned with three 1x1x2 blocks. When properly assembled, these blocks create an interlocking solution with 6 moves required to remove the first piece.

This puzzle is very precisely made. Each component of each piece is beveled on all faces, showing considerable attention to detail.

The finished sides feel like silk in your hands and it challenges even the most complex burrs I have seen. A magnificent  puzzle.

This is from the IPP24 event and then he re reased the puzzle again in 2005 in a lighter colored wood.
