Description

⟬ Fuller Fortnight ⟭——[ CubicDissection puzzles made by Eric Fuller ]——03. B-Box & Reactor Box (2016)

designed by: Goh Pit Khiam, Eric Fuller

made from: maple, walnut, mahogany, padauk

original description: https://cubicdissection.com/products/b-box-reactor

total produced: 88

sidenote:

this is a puzzlebox with a puzzlebox inside it, and a not-quite-puzzlebox inside that. the outer box is a sequential panel puzzle with a level 135.9.2 solution whose frame can be completely disassembled. the inner box is tricker than the outer box, because the solution is more subtle and partly hidden. and when you've solved the inner box (and found the inner-inner box, and the thing inside the inner-inner box, and possibly a tiny door to Narnia), you'll find that the outer box has become twice as difficult to reset.

(compelled as i am to thoroughly document things for these auctions, naturally i had to get to the inner box.  it's been a while since i've solved it.  i had a b**ch of a time resetting this thing.  it took me two hours and three beers.  i'm not sure the beers helped any.)

warning: inner box and Narnia Door contain small parts that are waiting to escape into your carpet.

♫:

▪ everything i have is in the photos.

▪ buyer pays shipping, calculated after the auction.

▪ shipment is by USPS Priority Mail, insured for the full sale price, and trackable.

▪ payment via PayPal only.

▪ all puzzles in my collection have been kept out of sunlight, in a humidity-stable room or sealed plastic container, away from pets unless they can solve them, and in a non-smoking household.

thank you for looking, and good luck if you bid.

Tony Fisher - Sliding Pucks (USA version) (2013)
⟬ Fisher Fortnight II ⟭——[ puzzles made by Tony Fisher ]——12. Sliding Pucks (USA version) (2013) from the TP museum entry: For this puzzle Tony Fisher stacked three pucks and connected them with a sliding mechanism instead of a fully rotating one. Because of the puzzles movement the numbers or patterns on each end become lost and hidden inside the puzzle so it is unclear what goes where until they are once again brought to the correct end. Three version of thi...

Tony Fisher - Puckube (2006)
⟬ Fisher Fortnight II ⟭——[ puzzles made by Tony Fisher ]——10. Puckube (2006) made for Dutch Cube Day 2006. from the TP museum entry: This is a transformation of a Puck Puzzle. The main body of the Puck has become the middle layer of the cube. The Puck's middle semi circles were extended to form the top and bottom layers. The transformation was done by hand and the new pieces were made from high impact polystyrene plastic. On a regular Puck Puzzle ...

⟬ Fisher Fortnight II ⟭——[ puzzles made by Tony Fisher ]——03. Golden Cube 2 Extreme? (2014) made for Dutch Cube Day 2014 and later sold through the Twistypuzzles forum. there is also an unbandaged version (see last photo for a comparison). from Tony's original description: 2014 marks 15 years since I created the world's first Golden Cube. For sometime now I have wanted to make a sequel (probably not the correct word but never mind). I could see ways of m...

Tony Fisher - Truncated Pillowed Hexaminx (2013)
⟬ Fisher Fortnight II ⟭——[ puzzles made by Tony Fisher ]——13. Truncated Pillowed Hexaminx (2013) made from a massproduced hexaminx (a puzzle originally made for Dutch Cube Day 2008) and sold through Tony's website. what's the big deal? why just shave off the corners? as he says in the presentation video, it looks nice, it makes a collection more varied and interesting, he likes making these transformations, and in principle every variation shoul...
