Description
This is an incredibly unique TIC puzzle by Andrew Crowell - it’s considered an “edge connected” tic because many of the voxels are connected at the corners or “edges”

This puzzle blew my mind because the edge connected pieces opened up so many possibilities for new movements.

This is 3D printed in “wood” filament by the designer.

Description from Andrew’s website:

HecTIC is part of a series of Edge Connected Turning Interlocking Cube (ECTIC) puzzles.

HecTIC is 3D printed puzzle using a premium wood 'Ebony' infused filament.  The resulting color is a very dark black, though not exactly 'wood' looking.  The puzzle is quite a bit larger and much stiffer than my normal prints.  The hope was to bridge a little of the gap between my normal 3D printed puzzles and the very expensive true exotic wood puzzles.  Though these filaments are much more expensive and very difficult to work with, I believe the result is quite good.

Rotations are required to solve the puzzle!  However do not force any rotations!  The intended solution will rotate easily with no more force than what is required to overcome friction or through bending the pieces. It will ship disassembled.  This puzzles was created with my new re-enforced joints (printed in a different orientation to ensure strength at the joint).  The puzzle should still be treated with care and not by forcing any movements.  These puzzles are not intended for children.

No hitting, spinning, banging, or using external tools is allowed (or even necessary).Locus is made of brass and tempered steel, based on a standard lock. The...

Side Lock by Andrew Crowell
description from his websiteThe Side Lock 3D printed puzzle requires 19 moves to free the first piece and 26 moves overall. The frame is printed in a marble PLA and the pieces and shackle have been printed in brilliant Silk PLA varieties. The puzzle does not require any rotations to solve. However, if you care to know how I arrived at this design and want to understand why there is a small protrusion inside the frame (visible in the photo of the disassembled puzzle), read on.
