This Wil Strijbos design won the 1990 Hikimi Wooden Puzzle Competition.
Form a 4x4x2 checker-board pattern in the tray using the sixteen unique pieces.
Each piece is made of two slant cubes in contrasting woods (padauk? and maple?).
Includes print out of one of the 14,288,256 checkered solutions.
Condition is fair. Decent fit, but pieces show varying discoloration (see photos).
Approximate size is 13cm x 13cm x 4cm (~5¼"x5¼"x1½").
