This packing puzzle was designed by Wil Strijbos and crafted by John Devost in 2006. It's made out of Bubinga. Nogal, Walnut and Maple. I will ship the puzzle in an unsolved state (photo 1) as I have spent hours playing with it without succeeding. I gave up and I hope you can solve it the right way.
Description:
"The sixteen pieces of "Just Fit" represent al the possible ways that two pieces of each color having slanted beveled tops can be joined. The goal is to assemble the pieces into a two layer 4x4 checkerboard with the colors matching on both layers. Originally crafted by Trevor Wood, this puzzle is made with subtle bevels and is very quite difficult. It is handcrafted, signed and dated by the artist."
