"Karakuri Book" (CH-16-FC1) is a 2025 reissue of (CH-16) that was produced in 2022, which was itself an improved design of Kamei's original "Book Box" design from 1983. Karakuri Book is more of a puzzling object than a puzzle. The Karakuri Creation Group describes it as follows:
"This is a drawer in the shape of a book. It's a magic box that says, 'If you put an item inside and close it, the item will disappear when you open it next time.'"
Of course, the Karakuri Book is beautifully handcrafted in contrasting woods, and finished smoothly and precisely like all KCG items. It looks GREAT on a bookshelf next to other books! It measures 11 cm x 15 cm x 6 cm. My copy is in mint condition as received earlier this year, in its original box with original plastic bag and operating instructions.

priority mail pricing for between $13.05 and $19.85 (depending on postal
code) if preferred. (Karakuri Book weighs almost 1.5 lb or around 600 g.) I am happy to ship
internationally at cost (typically around $30, depending on
country), but I cannot always guarantee that overseas
