Description

The LT was developed for the IPP22 Puzzle Exchange in Antwerp, Belgium.  August 2002.  340 made.
An original design by Brian Young. Made at Mr Puzzle Australia.

This puzzle is still in its original shrink-wrap. I didn’t open it to check it. It looks exactly like when I first sold it. But the card and solution were not with it so I assume it was an IPP puzzle. I’ve printed a card and solution from original graphics and will send it with the puzzle.

Original Text from Mr Puzzle website:

lateral thinking n. Method of solving problems other than by conventional logic.

Use all seven pieces to make the letter L Use all seven pieces to make the letter T The real challenge is to use all seven pieces to make the letters L and T at the same time. Note: the dimensions of the vertical and horizontal strokes in the letters L and T are in all cases exactly equal and symmetrical.

An added challenge may then be to get the puzzle back into the tray.

Puzzle made from Queensland Silky Oak (also known as Lacewood outside Australia)

Size of the tray is: 85mm x 85mm Pieces are made from 20mm x 20mm stock.

Australian Design Registration No.1542/2002

Made by Mr Puzzle. As soon as Brian saw this design published by Yavuz Demirhan on Facebook he immediately wrote to Yavuz to get permission to produce it.  He knew it would be a winner!  A nice balance of wood interwoven with acrylic makes a good looking puzzle.  This puzzle is not so difficult to take apart.   But mix up the pieces, walk away and forget about them, come back later and you’ll find it q...
