Description

Parcel Post

designer unknown
crafted by John Devost

  • production year: 2006
  • condition: as new
  • materials: Walnut, Padauk
  • description: Parcel Post is a vintage 18-piece packing puzzle of unknown origin dating to the early 20th century: the challenge is to pack specified rectangular blocks into a tray of interior dimensions 18x28x6 units. Bill Cutler performed a computer analysis in 1979 and found exactly four solutions, underscoring why the puzzle remains notoriously difficult. John Devost’s Walnut-and-Padauk edition features fully finished, high-gloss pieces and a large splined tray signed and dated 2006.

BioTIC by Andrew Crowell and Eric Fuller
BioTICdesigned by Andrew Crowellcrafted by Eric Fuller (2019)condition: as newdescription: Not a traditional TIC puzzle, but a unique open frame design with 5 smaller pieces packed into a large frame structure. The large Sapele and Walnut open cube allows for dramatic visible movement during assembly, though the sequence remains tightly constrained and surprisingly engaging to solve.product page: https://cubicdissection.com/products/biotic-interlocking-cubeThe item will be shipped from Budapest,...

Tronc Commun 1-2-3 setdesigned by Gregory Benedetticrafted by Eric Fullercondition: as newdescription: a clever three-puzzle set built around the same two-piece core. Each version wraps that core with a different outer set, so the mechanism stays familiar while the logic steadily ramps up. The fun comes from learning how the shared core behaves, then having that knowledge tested as later versions tighten the freedoms and introduce trap-like near-assemblies.product page: https://cubicdissection.c...

Schism by Tim Alkema and Eric Fuller
Schismdesigned by Tim Alkemacrafted by Eric Fuller (2017)condition: as newdescription: Part of Tim Alkema’s three member cube dissection series alongside Rift and Fidget Burr, Schism splits the outer frame into two separate halves held together by six burr pieces. The unusual construction creates a satisfying assembly where the internal burr locks the divided frame back into a solid cube.product page: https://cubicdissection.com/products/copy-of-schismThe item will be shipped from Budapest, Hu...
