Where do I begin with this insane and prefect example of what it means for a puzzle to be a puzzle?
Boucher is a mad genius who came up with the idea of how the pieces can interact and escalate to surprising complexity, while Eric added in sequential discovery steps to give direction and force the solver to fully plumb the extreme ends of ResQ and to master the puzzle to reset it.
I considered keeping this puzzle forever, but I've solved it so many times that I can't forget the steps anymore and I end up solving it within minutes. The last few times I picked it up, I was bored.
So I'm letting it go to a new puzzler to bash their head against this puzzle! However, I've decided to take pity on everyone with a copy of ResQ and wrote up a solution guide to help solve and reset the puzzle:

As a final point, I'll point out that this copy is very well loved and has seen hours of play. So there aren't any flaws or damage caused to it, but it's clearly not in mint condition anymore. It's hard to articulate, but I can just see minor wear and tear such as the corners and edges being rounded a bit instead of a sharp, crisp 90 degrees, and micro scratches to the box where the soft wood has lines in it from finger nails holding the box. Most of these flaws won't be visible in the picture, but should be noticeable under bright light in person.
