Description

This is a very clever design by Yavuz, Toklas me longer to solve than I thought it would.

This particular puzzle is an exclusive offering from Hendrik Haak’s Puzzle Shop in Germany, if your local you can likely pick one up there.

I really like the choice of woods as well as the restrictive box, as you can see from the photo it does not have the usual plexiglass.

Woods used are Zebrawood and Chechen.

Brick Wall - Lucie Pauwels by Pelikan

This is an awesome design by Lucie and it’s expertly crafted by Pelikan using Bubinga for the ‘Bricks’ with Maple used for the ‘Grout’. Placing the 11 pieces within the frame is rather tricky.I made a Box and Lid from Black Limba to house this puzzle. I also added a removable sleeve from Tigerwood. It seems hard to believe that it's been almost 20 years since I first made a small run of this clever packing puzzle design in 2006. William has graciously allowed me to offer up another run as there were only a dozen copies made in 2006.The original metal version was William’s exchange puzzle at the IPP21 in Tokyo.This version is made using many wood varieties and includes a Stand. Chequered Binary Cube by Kevin Holmes/Jacques Haubrich

This is an early design by Jacques and features 11 checkered pieces that are nicely crafted by Kevin. Pieces are Maple and Padauk.The main goal is to create a cube from all of the pieces, with additional goals of removing a piece to form a hollow cube. Instruction sheet is included.I made a Box for this puzzle from Walnut with a Wenge/Peruvian Walnut Bottom and a Tigerwood/Peruvian Walnut Top.
