Shou Sugimoto’s SOGO Box is a wondrous creation. Its shape is a cube as are many Karakuris, only Sugimoto has come up with an incredible mechanic that is challenging to find, delightful once discovered, and leaves you with the wonder of what could be going on inside that makes it possible. It has a wonderful multi-colored zig-zag pattern on each face and is larger than many cubic Karakuris, giving it nice heft, beautiful feel, and impressive presence on display. This copy is from the original 2019 puzzle release, not the 2021 re-release. All original packing material is included.

This work was designed for Karakuri Puzzle Party in Hakone 2019. I've always wanted to create a work that uses a structure of kumiki.
Finally I was able to execute it. My work always has one answer. This time it is a nasty device. The surface has a pattern of alternating three-color chips on all six sides.
