Description

Is there a teabag in the box? I dunno, I decided to NOT solve this one. And the solution envelope is also still closed. I would guess this puzzle has not been solved, probably ever, and just went into storage where it has lived for over 25 years. Wow... it is a cute little box and lovingly adorned with stamps and stickers to give you a full exotic tea experience.

Offered here is a rare and highly sought-after vintage exchange puzzle from the 19th International Puzzle Party (IPP19) held in London, 1999. Designed by the legendary Atsushi Katagiri of the Karakuri Creation Group (KCG), this piece—formally titled "Japanese Safety Karakuri Match" (片桐燐寸店)—is a masterclass in deceptive simplicity.
