The Mecanigma Steampunk Puzzle Box by NKD

The Mécanigma Steampunk Puzzle Box is a complex and beautiful 15 move puzzle box with gears and articulated mechanisms.
Don't be fooled by the move count, you will have to search and investigate to find them one by one, and you will likely make many more moves before opening the box!

It is made up of 541 pieces, most of which are laser-cut poplar plywood.
Some are 3D printed PLA, and then there are some screws and other metal bits.

This puzzle was built from this NKD building kit, the builder spent many hours assembling and sanding the parts to make the puzzel work perfectly..
Save yourself those many hours and get this gorgeous puzzle box pre-assembled and ready to solve, for the price of the building kit!

Note: one of the handles was reinforced afterwards with extra glue to make it more robust after it came loose unintendedly, see last picture.

I am currently auctioning 30 (mostly) metal puzzles on behalf of a puzzling friend who no longer collects puzzles.
