The "series 1" is standard amongst trick bolts with unknown inventer, but Lee Valley Tools has made it very beautiful and compact.
The "series 2" was designed by Brent Hyde (designer for Veritas Tools) and is highly unique amongst bolts, and I mean extraordinarily clever from an engineering standpoint. Discontinued a long time ago. [I can say this after seeing many bolt puzzles including Rocky Chiaro's gems, and having an engineering background.]
