Description

IPP 21 was in Tokyo, Japan in 2001.  This was Bill Darrah's exchange puzzle.  He designed it and it was manufactured by Interlocking Puzzles.

Goal: Disassemble and rebuild the cube so that no edges of the same color match and return the 'surprise' to the center of the cube, again fitting snugly inside the box.

One piece is chipped.  See the final photo.

NOTE: I have solved and reset this puzzle several times recently.  The mechanism is sticky and does not fully operate as I would expect.  Perhaps some of the issues can be fixed with a bit of sanding?  Still, it's a beautiful piece of woodworking in otherwise good condition.Per the Karakuri website:Mail BoxKyoko HoshinoITEMHS-13Created11/2014Size(box body)60×100×81 ㎜Size(storage part)*****Materialoak, katsuraFacebookTwitter共有This work was designed as a Christmas present for 2014.
