Vintage set of NESTED Japanese Kokeshi Dolls
Each Doll is NESTED and Japan is stamped on the bottom as shown. Both stand approximately 2.4 inches high. Date crafted is undetermined.
Kokeshi dolls are traditional Japanese wooden dolls that symbolize good fortune, protection, and a wish for a child's health. They are also a token of appreciation for Japanese culture and craftsmanship.
Note: I noticed the Male doll's head does extend but is not removable.
