Up for auction is a clever put together challenge called YUKARI'S LOST CUBE PUZZLE. It was Brian Young's Exchange puzzle at IPP in Houston 2024 and designed by Junichi Yananose. As the name suggests, your goal is to build a cube from all the pieces. Not a walk in the park! 120 copies were made and all gone by now. The item is in great condition.
The original description is as follows:
The goal of this puzzle is to make a cube with bevelled edges using all nine pieces.
The puzzle was designed by Juno back in 2019.
The puzzles were produced to go to an IPP but then Covid hit. Brian promptly forgot all about them. He only discovered them in the shed under a dust sheet in early 2024; just in time to sign up for the IPP Exchange in Houston.
It was never made commercially but written about on the ZenPuzzler blog back then. Do not click through to this blog site if you do not want to read or see any spoiler information: https://www.zenpuzzler.com/2019/06/a-puzzle-with-no-name-yukaris-cube.html
“Probably, most puzzle enthusiasts may think that this puzzle is easy. Well, that is partially right. This is not very difficult, but I say there is something a little tricky. If someone is not used to playing with a puzzle, he/she might struggle to find the solution. I am sorry, I cannot say what it is.”
The puzzle is made from Tasmanian Oak.
Size: 60mm x 60mm x 60mm. (assembled with bevelled corners) Packaged: 60mm x 40mm x 100mm.
After the auction ends I will pro-actively contact the buyer and provide shipping options via Deutsche Post / DHL. After the preferred way of shipping is clear, I will provide final payment amount.
To provide an indication for US buyers in terms of freight cost for small parcels (l + w + h not bigger than 90cm and heavier than 2kg):
--> untracked & non-insured parcel = Euro 19.-
--> tracked & insurance value of 50 Euro = Euro 24.-
For a bigger parcel with up to 5kg and dimensions of 120cm x 60cm x 60cm the following applies:
--> tracked & insurance value of 500 Euro = Euro 49.-
Payment Options:
Generally I prefer cash or SEPA payments but many buyers from overseas do not have this possibility which is why I am willing to accept payment via Paypal. In the latter case it would be great to receie the money via F & F option to avoid fees.
CAUTION: You should never bid if you are not willing to pay via F&F option and you do not trust the seller (in this case "me") as you are not protected by Paypal.
