This is the Sliding Box by Jean-Claude Constantin. Eight sliding bars passing through the body of box must be placed in the correct positions to unlock the lid. Interesting and beautifully made.

This is a copy of Chess Box by Jean-Claude Constantin. All parts move well and the box is in like new condition. The pawns on the top shift around inside an unusual track - and finding the key positions is a bit trickier than it seems!
