I believe this to be an extremely rare 'wrongly coloured' version of the Wil Strijbos Dovetail Cube No.1, possibly one of the very first batches, a prototype, or a production error, I am unsure.
Dovetail Cube No.1 is usually blue and green, and Dovetail Cube No.3 is usually blue and purple, but this is a Dovetail Cube No.1 in blue and purple. The collector that this belonged to says that he has been keeping an eye on Strijbos Dovetail Cubes listed for sale on various websites for about the past 5 years or so now, and he has never seen another Dovetail Cube No.1 in blue and purple.
The puzzle is in good working order but has a few small scuffs / marks / dints on its surface, mostly on the underside.
