• description: Named for the spiral nature of its eight horizontal pieces, Helix is a highly complex interlocking burr puzzle introduced at IPP6 in 1983. Featuring many notches just 1/3 or 1/4 the width of the rods, this classic design is particularly sensitive to tolerances, making it both difficult to solve and challenging to craft. These are some of the nicest burr pieces I have ever seen, check out the middle piece! Solving the puzzle and putting it back together took forever but it was great fun.
