That's right, some lunatic (me!) is selling Hugo the Hippo!
You all can guess why anyways. I'm selling this poor hippo to pay for a tortoise soon. Tortoise Master Race!
Hugo is a delightful puzzle box that I had a lot of fun taking apart and putting it back together, but frankly put, it's too easy for me to care about keeping the poor guy. It's beautifully crafted and the moves are a tactile pleasure to perform, but it's still what I consider an easy solve and it's not an SD puzzle in the first place. There are no tools, just movements to open up the belly of a fearsome hippo as if we're in Africa hunting big game.
I have to admit a shameful secret though. Despite how gorgeous Hugo is with a shimmering belly full of chatoyance as shown in the fourth picture, there are defects. In the last picture, there are tiny dents from when a friend forced a move he shouldn't have done. That friend didn't follow the Hippopotamic Oath! The dents should be visible in the picture as whitish lines. If it helps, the marks aren't visible when Hugo is in the assembled state. Only when Hugo is dismantled or mid-solve.
