Description

Boxed Box by Bill Cutler / Jerry McFarland

This is a Cutler design, crafted in 1995 by Jerry McFarland. Very rare.  The box is marked as shown "JM 95" and is stamped with serial number 6.  Pieces made from mahogany, maple, oak and walnut.

23 different pieces with 69 different edge lengths form a rectangular block with no voids.  This is impossible with less than 23 different pieces.  These pieces all pack into an extraordinary clamshell box with a perfect fit - only if everything is packed properly!  The box has a special design to keep the puzzle closed when packed as the blocks inside interact to limit unintentional opening.  Box is ~16x15x12cm

Ships assembled unless your prefer otherwise.  A challenging mathematical series based puzzle that can be conquered with logic.

Puzzle is heavy; about 1.3kg.  Shipping by USPS, payment via Zelle, check or money order.  If you have any questions, please ask them before bidding. :-)   See all active listings here: metagrobology : the study of puzzles

Mini Lock by Christoph Lohe / Pelikan
Mini Lock by Christoph Lohe / PelikanCrafted in Ash and Purpleheart by Pelikan.Christoph Lohe wrote about it: “The puzzle consists only of a frame with one obstacle, a shackle, and two sticks. With a level 6.7 it is not a difficult puzzle, but it can be operated like a tiny padlock, which is a nice touch. When I received Pelikan's sample, I was amazed what they made of the design. They have been able to build it in a tiny size, only about 25 grams. Nevertheless, the woodworking is fabulous, v...
