Selling my copy of daedalus, by PD puzzles, perfect condition with a custom stand made by John Devost.

Im looking to save some cash for large puzzle purchases. So offloading a few things.

The Daedalus puzzle is the brainchild of Gregory Benedetti. A deceptively simple cube from the outside, inside it hides a labyrinth of misdirection and dead ends as the interlocking pieces fight you at every turn to keep hold of their secrets. It’s an exceptionally good piece of design, an incredibly enjoyable and challenging puzzle to solve.

This puzzle is one of my favorites, I’ve always wanted to make a version for myself because I enjoy the solve, but also because of the challenge involved in making it. Tolerances on parts over the complex geometry need to be good for it to function well.  Taking inspiration from old ivory carvings, I also wanted to add another dimension showing off what resin can do with a detailed highly aesthetic outer shell—hopefully creating a puzzle that is both beautiful to solve and to look at.

Puzzles are made from Polyurethane resin and a special mix of marble fillers that give the resin a weight and feel more of stone than plastic. Parts are rigid and cold to the touch. Pins are made from Brass.

All my puzzles are kept in 40-50% humidity and out of direct sunlight, in an animal free zone. Smoke free.
