Description

30 piece Spider's Web burr design by Bill Cutler, originally from the collection of mathematician Dr. Benjamin Muckenhoupt, and sold by his daughter on the Cubicdissection Marketplace in 2021.  according to her listing description there:

Dr. Muckenhoupt often received early prototypes from Cutler, and the ends of the pieces are slightly rough. There is a crack in one piece (see photo).

i have repaired the cracked piece, and i no longer know which one it is to photograph it, but Meg's original listing is here.

overall, the fit of the assembly is very loose (look for the quarter in the last photo), but not loose enough that it will come apart.

as this was a prototype and not a copy intended for sale, there is no signature or number.

to reduce the risk of damage this will be shipped unassembled.

buyer pays shipping.

shipment will be by USPS Priority Mail, insured for the full sale price.

payment via PayPal only.

♪:

all puzzles in my collection have been kept out of sunlight, in a humidity-stable room, away from pets unless they can solve them, and in a non-smoking household.

thank you for looking, and good luck if you bid.
