Jesse Born Rattler’s Tail #187/300 — Mint, Never Solved
Rattler’s Tail #187 of 300 by Jesse Born.
I purchased this example directly from Jesse and am its original owner.
Most importantly for the next owner, it has never been solved. It is in mint condition. It has been handled for inspection and photography, so I am not describing it as sealed or untouched, but none of its solve has been undertaken.
With Jesse’s new Alien puzzle launching this week, it seemed like a fitting time to offer another of his limited-edition sequential-discovery puzzle boxes. Collectors familiar with Jesse’s Sea Chest, SunDial and Voyager Trilogy will know his work, although Rattler’s Tail is a separate, self-contained puzzle.
Rattler’s Tail was originally offered by Jesse for $1,275, in a limited edition of 300 examples. Jesse stated that this would be the only edition produced.
This particular example is #187/300 and includes its original signed Certificate of Authenticity, dated April 18, 2025, together with the original box and fitted protective packaging. The certificate lists the woods as Wenge, Ipe, Bocote, Padauk, Katalox and Holly.
I’m keeping the listing completely spoiler-free so that the next owner can experience Rattler’s Tail from the beginning.
All photographs are of the actual puzzle being offered. I’ve included detailed photographs of the puzzle from all sides, the top and underside, together with the certificate and original packaging. I’m happy to provide additional close-ups or answer any questions about its condition.
