Simple Box - Limited Edition of 100

Here is the incredible, absolutely masterful Simple Box limited edition of 100. I bought this direct from Ben at Simple Puzzles upon release in April 2025 and it is now sold out.

I cannot rave enough about this puzzle. This is the kind of Sequential Discovery you dream about. Surprising, logical, mysterious, wonderful in the hand and so satisfying to complete. 

Ben's metal work is impeccable. I've owned Simple Lock 2 and Simple Box continues his crafting work. The aluminium is beautiful in appearance and texture, it's smooth in the hand, and the brass work is a lovely accent to the piece. 

The ideas and mechanisms in the box are such a joy to discover. It rewards careful investigation and trying of ideas. it has some mechanisms and ideas that I haven't seen before in any puzzle. Every step is fun to find and think about progressing to the next.

The ending of this puzzle is my favourite of any ending of any puzzle I have ever solved. I mean it. It was so special to experience and has cemented Ben in my mind as a true master of puzzle design. It makes me want to buy any of his future releases that can. It's for this reason alone that it makes me sad to see Simple Box go! I wanted to keep this one for life! But I need to sell to fund a new puzzle purchase.

A refined style, noble materials and a meticulous finish, as well as pleasant and interesting mechanisms. Although this puzzle is intented to be slightly more accessible, you'll find 6 entirely new and challenging solving steps. The aim, as you might guess, is to open the box, and then close it back. All parts are machined and assembled in France from solid aluminum and brass.
