i'm also including what i call an 'unfolded' or re-axised' Duo Axis Cube (see last two photos), which i arranged as an experiment to illustrate the design of AJ's puzzle. i rearranged the split pieces on an Edison 3x3x5 to match the Duo Axis Cube, and coloured it as if it were axised the way AJ did it, effectively restoring the orthogonal relationship between the rotational axes and the slices while keeping the colour pattern skewed. (black is substituted for yellow to stand out from the bright yellow of the plastic.)
