Sphere Ball Karakuri Secret Box by Tatsuo Miyamoto
This rare work was created by former Karakuri Creation Group member Mr. Tatsuo Miyamoto.
This superb Sphere Ball Karakuri box made using “Muku-Zukuri” techniquue in the shape of a perfectly round spherical ball, which is very rare his masterpiece.
An amazingly beautiful shape as piece of art. And this work futures wonderfully high elaborate production and beautiful wood grain, combination of color and refined marquetry patterns.
Also, Karakuri box mechanism works perfectly.
Today, there are almost no craftmans who can make this work.
The Miyamoto’s Stamp is on the inside of the box.
Hakone-Yosegi-Zaiku is based on a pattern made by combining pieces of wood with various colors and textures. This is called "Taneita".
Muku-Zukuri: A method in which "Taneita" itself is hollowed out with a potter's wheel for processing.
The box moves perfectly.
