Description
A rare, popular vintage art sculpture that also functions as a puzzle. This particular sculpture - known as the "ball puzzle" - designed by Charles Perry is in brilliant Lucite and prized for its larger size (more than twice the size of the Brass version and pleasant for playing and fiddling with) and how the light dances through the piece when assembled. This piece is inviting, and few guests are able to resist from picking it up and playing with it. Acts as a great conversation piece and pretty sculpture for any coffee table, side table or bookshelf. This Lucite edition is the easiest size to handle: 2 5/8” inches in diameter when fully assembled. It is unmarked. This edition was manufactured in low quantities for exhibits in Italy and the MoMA in the 1960s and 1970s; fewer of the lucite edition are available than the brass.
