Another Block in the Wall

Another Block in the Wall is a 7 moves to open original puzzle box. Made from Cocobolo, Wenge, Maple Burl, Bird’s Eye Maple, Spalted Maple, Chakte Viga, Pau Amarillo, Walnut and Bloodwood.

The primary allure of puzzle box construction lies in the endless opportunities for creating novel mechanisms. In recent years, my puzzle designs have predominantly featured doors, which serve as metaphors for broadening our mechanical understanding and capabilities. My ambition is to actualize all my imaginative concepts. 

With this unique mechanical design, the goal was to make the exterior look as normal and unassuming as possible.  New tricks have been employed that open up a whole new area to create new designs based from this.  

You will be seeing more of this design in time, but for now this is it.
