Description

An original miniature burr puzzle made by Allan Boardman to exchange at IPP20 in LA in 2000.  Allan is a master of making not just miniature but micro puzzles.  He said at the time he didn’t expect many people to actually play with the puzzle but that if you wanted to you could.  The puzzle is fully functional and made with very fine tolerances.

Goal: To take the puzzle apart and reassemble the 12 pieces again into the classic cage burr shape with the ball inside.

Material: Pao Ferro Wood from Brazil with a gold plated steel ball.
Size: pieces are 20mm long. I’ve shown the puzzle with a standard Rubik’s cube in the photo to give you an idea of how small it is (the cube is not included in the auction).

Condition:  Very good. The puzzle is in its original acrylic box with the IPP20 label as given by Allan. It has never been outside this box.  Photo is of the actual puzzle selling.

General Information:

This is Brian Young from Mr Puzzle in Australia selling some doubles as a result of merging Ray Mead’s collection into my own existing collection. This puzzle has been in Ray’s collection since he exchanged with Allan in 1999.

If you have any questions you can email me separately via our Mr Puzzle email address mrpuzzle@mrpuzzle.com.au  But please don’t email and ask to discontinue the auction. All auctions will run their duration. It’s the fairest course for everyone.

All prices in Australian Dollars (not US Dollars).  We much prefer payment via Wise or other bank transfer. PayPal is also possible.

After the auction please message me to let me know if you would like standard or express postage. Rates below.  Then I will send an invoice including postage (and tariff for US buyers).

If you buy more than one item I will be happy to combine ship and quote postage based on exact weight. Usually unless a very heavy puzzle is involved it won’t be much different to the single item below.

Cost to ship this puzzle Standard:
