Description

Soma cubes are perhaps the largest family of 3D puzzles. They are 3x3x3 cubes grouped together in a variety of ways. In this case, our "soma" is enclosed in a cage, but the six side walls are attached to the internal pieces. Easier to see than to describe!

It's not a particularly difficult puzzle, since each piece must occupy one face of the cube.

Dimensions: approximately 80 x 80 x 80 mm.

“Caged Soma” is produced and sold under license from Oskar Van Deventer (https://oskarvandeventer.nl), who is the Designer and Copyright Owner.

I ship from Italy all over the World. You will choose the courier / shipping methods and you are responsible for custom duties.  For any questions and to allow me to check the shipping costs for you, please ask before bidding.

Inelegant Cube, by Haym Hirsh
It all began in 1978. Dean Hoffman designed his Packing Puzzle, a cube made up of 27 identical pieces. But it was different from the usual; it was imperfect, because its volume was smaller than that of the box it was contained in. Despite its six completely parallel faces, it contained empty spaces. This cube had 21 valid solutions. The brilliant Haym Hirsh drew inspiration from this cube. He began by designing the Hoffman Jr. puzzle (Inelegant 5x5) and continued the series with Inelegant Soma, I...

4 Prisoners, by Lucie Pauwels
Four prisoners must be locked in a cage! And it's crucial they can't escape...You have the cage, divided into two pieces joined by magnets. You have the four prisoners (the blue pieces) and five red pieces to hold the prisoners in place. The goal of the puzzle is to fit all the prisoners and the red pieces into the cage to form a cube.
