Derek Bosch : Hellical Burr - READ LISTING CAREFULLY

Shipping will be 5 GBP for the UK ,14 GBP for Europe, and 23 GBP for the rest of the world. 

This one goes way back and was Derek's second design.

Hellical is a very suitable name, it is both hell to solve (27 moves) and hell to make too.  It has a distinctive "bow tie" end pattern.

It is harder to make than the others because it is 80mm rather than 100mm tall. Therefore the Helix is tighter and the overhangs are greater. This has been done to reduce (and hopefully eliminate) a non-axial "illegal rotation". The downside is that it pushes most FDM printers to the limit and the undersides of the helix are a little "ragged". See the 3rd picture. The puzzle still solves perfectly but looks less "polished" than the others. This is one for collectors wanting to have a complete set of helical designs. These were part of short test run a year or so go back and it's quite unlikely, we'll make more.

It has been printed by The Two Brass Monkeys in black and red PLA.
