Description

I recall making this design many years ago however the sticks I used then had a flatter profile. I happened to have some BAZ stock that suited this puzzle much better so decided to make a few. I also added a stand to display the puzzle.

Woods in this particular puzzle are Chechen& Purpleheart & Padauk & Sapele & Makore with a 2-Piece Stand from Walnut.

Puzzle & Stand have been lacquered and buffed to a nice sheen.

I’m offering this very cool ‘Kumiki’ style puzzle by Jakub. This was the very first offering of this line of puzzles created by Pelikan featuring ‘animal’ shapes. Chequered Binary Cube by Kevin Holmes/Jacques Haubrich

This is an early design by Jacques and features 11 checkered pieces that are nicely crafted by Kevin. Pieces are Maple and Padauk.The main goal is to create a cube from all of the pieces, with additional goals of removing a piece to form a hollow cube. Instruction sheet is included.I made a Box for this puzzle from Walnut with a Wenge/Peruvian Walnut Bottom and a Tigerwood/Peruvian Walnut Top.
