Description

⟬ Fisher Fortnight ⟭——[ puzzles made by Tony Fisher ]——03. Cubie Chaos 1 (2004)

made from three joined and extended Eastsheen 2x2's, the less difficult of the two versions originally sold at Dutch Cube Day 2005. this, as with many of Tony's earlier puzzles, is not signed.

Tony's description from the TwistyPuzzles.com museum:

Not to be confused with standard cuboids like the 3x3x5. Each one consists of a small number of Eastsheen 2x2x2s joined together. Some cubies have then been extended to form the solid shapes. These extensions have been carefully designed so that only a small number of moves are possible at any one time, the others being blocked. Quality is OK, though they can become a bit fiddly at times.

the Cubie Chaos puzzles are the predecessors of the later 'Evil Twin'-type puzzles.

⟬ Fisher Fortnight ⟭——[ puzzles made by Tony Fisher ]——06. Halpern-Meier Tetrahedron (2014) built on a Meffert's skewb with ball-bearing alignment.  movement is perfect. from the description in the TwistyPuzzles.com museum: This transformation of a Skewb is also known as "Halpern-Meier-Tetrahedron" (short: HMT) after the two persons (Benjamin R Halpern and Kersten Meier) who first came up with this concept. The patent behind the number give...

Tony Fisher - Cubillusion (2013)
⟬ Fisher Fortnight ⟭——[ puzzles made by Tony Fisher ]——02. Cubillusion (2013) made from a bandaged and extended Eastsheen 4x4, with a concave section designed to look, from a certain angle, like a convex 3x3. technically, this is the three-dimensional version of a two-dimensional pattern called 'rhombille tiling', where a lack of visual depth cues creates an illusion of ambiguous orientation, and often a phenomenon known as 'multistable perception' (in th...

Tony Fisher - 5x5x5 Egg (2015)
⟬ Fisher Fortnight ⟭——[ puzzles made by Tony Fisher ]——01. 5x5x5 Egg (2015) originally made for Dutch Cube Day 2015 with really nice stickers from Olivér's Stickers, which permanently closed during COVID and is sadly missed. from Tony's originaldescription on the TwistyPuzzles forum: The 5x5x5 Egg was the first time I had combined casting from moulds with hands on shaping with a Dremel. It was also the first time I used a technique I devised that I...
