Felix Ure's Titan is a disassembly puzzle, where you have to separate the brass ball into two halves. It's a very difficult blind solve puzzle where you need to listen very carefully to the sounds you hear as you rotate one half of the ball. Even after I gave up and watched the solution video, I still couldn't do it. My hearing sucks! It's an exercise in patience, with a dash of cleverness.
The
shape of it fits very comfortably in my hand and there is something fascinating about holding a very heavy brass ball that I enjoy. The brass is left unfinished, leaving it to slowly patinate and darken with use. This has already occurred to a slight extent with mine in some spots, but if you don't like that, it is very easy to remove if needed.
Titan is in pristine condition with no scratch marks anywhere and no mechanical defect (as far as I know, since it's still unsolved by me). It even comes with its original packaging and instructions.
Due to concerns about Covid, I will be disinfecting the ball before sealing it in its package for delivery.
