This puzzle is #16 from the Limited Edition set of 45 released in 2013. An original design by Junichi Yananose. Made at Mr Puzzle Australia.
It has its original Limited Edition certificate and a printed solution sheet.
This was our 20th anniversary Limited Edition and it has its original token as well.
I don’t think the puzzle has ever been played with other than me solving it. I have opened the puzzle and checked inside and all appears to be working well. Really smooth action. You can see a photo of it open with the number and my signature inside the puzzle.

Designed by Junichi Yananose for the IPP33 Puzzle Design Competition and made by Junichi and Brian @ Mr Puzzle. The burr is a 12 piece unique solution level 13-1-4-1-1-2. Junichi describes it as challenging but not too difficult; he considers it solvable without a computer.
Juno designed it in 2013 when he was working here at Mr Puzzle. One lunch break they were discussing one of Juno’s earlier designs where what looks like one piece is actually 2 pieces. Brian set him a challenge to make a 6 piece burr using 12 pieces. He came back with a BurrTools file in just a few days!
So what looks on the outside like a standard six piece burr is very much more complicated. “Don’t judge a book by its cover” really does apply here!
You will notice some magnets are used in the puzzle. This is to enhance the feeling in your hands. Theoretically, they are not necessary for the puzzle to work.
The puzzle is made from Western Australian Jarrah and enhanced with the routing on the ends of each piece you’ve come to know as the signature of Mr Puzzle.
The burr is made in a smaller format than the one submitted for the Design Competition entry.
