Ukraine deserves a hand, if not a standing ovation. They make their stand as underdog, bending the universe to their favor, with little more than the fortitude of their will. Ukraine at this time also requires a hand.  While we all wish we could help more, any small thing we can do furthers their resolve and aids the most hurting among them.  A single helping hand becomes a torrent as many of us join together, and together we outnumber their foe.

I myself can offer only one small hand, this box.  It was my personal copy, I am not sentimental, and it is better served here than sitting on my shelf.  By bidding on it, you also offer a helping hand.  Many thanks for all those able to play some small part.

The Stickman “One Hand Puzzlebox” (No. 35) is crafted from walnut with exotic wood packing pieces.

This puzzle is based on a concept by Asher Simon, and is Robert's tribute to the genera of packing puzzles. It is called the “One Hand Puzzlebox” because using a single hand is the most satisfying way of solving it. Remove the packing puzzle pieces from one end of the box, and they flip around like a transformer robot. Pieces have to be separated and placed back into the compartment, one at a time, and in a particular order, just to get them back in. At times, combined pieces have to slide around with a satisfying “snap into place feel” to fit the others in. Upon proper completion, the second compartment will open. This also resets the puzzle pieces to transform once again the next time they are removed.

The puzzle is limited in edition to 160 boxes, and requires a minimum of 18 steps to solve properly. It measures roughly 6” x 3” x 3”, and is rated as difficult” to solve correctly.
