Description

Lucie’s wonderful design is a neat 4x4 cube puzzle with pieces that also fits in a tray, so sort of two puzzles in one with multiple solutions for both configurations.

It comes with a tray featuring a free floating solid multi-wood bottom as well as a 2-piece stand to display the cube once assembled.

This is the last available (Personal copy of 9 made) and has the following woods:

Stand - Bloodwood

Frame - Bloodwood

Bottom - Walnut & Sapele

Slipfeathers - Wenge

Pieces - Purpleheart - Lacewood - Walnut - Sumac - Canarywood - Benge - Bubinga

This classic design was one of my earliest puzzle builds in the early 2000’s that I made for Bill Cutler.It features 18 pieces with four solutions, however finding one will definitely keep you busy for some time!I’ve always wanted to revisit it but in a smaller scale, I used a 3/16” unit size with the overall size being approximately 6” x 4”.The woods used were salvaged from an old upright piano from the 1920’s that I layed out the keys in a wall hanging (see last photo).
