Description

Mint in original package from Markus. Doesn't look like it has ever been opened. (Why I took the took the pics I did... )

Originally called the Brunnenpuzzle by its German designer Markus Gotz, brunnen translates as either fountain or well.

At first this appears to be a simple 3D packing puzzle. But true the the ingenuity we know of Markus it doesn’t take long before you realise you should not underestimate this packing problem.  The pieces of the puzzle are made from different length cylindrical rods joined together. The puzzle’s very interlocked design requires quite some maneuvering to fit the pieces inside the fountain. It also requires that you make use of the additional space provided in the bottom of the fountain to get the pieces in.

The puzzle is to pack the 7 different shapes into the fountain. The puzzle’s very interlocked design requires quite some maneuvering to fit the pieces inside the fountain. It also requires that you make use of the additional space provided in the bottom of the fountain to get the pieces in. The 13 step solution attests to just how tricky this puzzle can be…. is 13 your lucky number?

There are knockoffs out there but this one is original with a hand typed lable on the bottom of the package with Markus's old address and phone number.
