"NumLock is an n-ary puzzle with a great solving flow, and I found it was a great way to start to understand what was going on with n-ary designs. An interesting feature of this multi-slider setup is that it can be configured with keys of any odd base (ternary, quinary, etc); I decided to take advantage of this and produce a set of both ternary and quinary keys, which allows you to configure the puzzle to require anywhere between 143 (all ternary keys) to 599 (all quinary keys) moves to free the first piece. The front of the case opens to allow inspection, reconfiguration, and quick resets."
