For sale is one copy of the incredible, original release edition of the wonderful and rare 'Caramel Box' which was an IPP34 design competition entry from Yasuhiro Hashimoto and Mineyuki Uyematsu (MINE). It came in top 10 for most votes garnered for the Puzzlers' Award. I own two copies so letting one go for someone to benefit.
The objective like all good packing puzzles is to simply place (pack) two sets of various irregular shaped pieces flat into a lovely crafted metallic small box! As Jerry Loo explain on his site: Jerry's Mechanical Puzzle & Brain Teaser Collection: Caramel Box (smallpuzzlecollection.blogspot.com) an obstruction in one corner, makes the solve more difficult than one might imagine.
Build and fit is perfect. The puzzle functions perfectly with no defects. The two sets of wood pieces are made from Teak and Poa Rosa respectively and the box is thick walled steel. A really solid mix of metal and wood.
